Michael Kerres
Professor of Educational Science

I am professor of educational science at the University of Duisburg-Essen and hold the chair of Educational Media and Knowledge Management within the Faculty of Educational Sciences. I am directing the Learning Lab, a research unit with 40 employees working on projects about digital change in education. The Lab is organized in five research groups addressing the various sectors of secondary, higher, vocational, adult and corporate education. It is responsible for two online-master's programms, "Educational Media" and "Educational Leadership", and several certificate programs. We are devoted to an approach of design-based research in education and cooperate with our university's  Interdisciplinary Center of Educational Research, that comprises around 200 educational researchers of the different faculties of our university.
