Michael Kerres has been invited to act as an associate editor for the Online Learning Journal. The journal is operated by the Online Learning Consortium, a non-profit organization founded with the supoort of the Sloane Foundation in 1999. It gathers over 1.000 individual and institutional members mainly from the USA.
The journal is open - access and has been included in the ESCI list for "emerging" journals. In a combined ranking of journals in the SCSI and ESCI in the category "Education" it belongs to the TOP 100 journals (#73 of 739 journals: ranking by JCR Clarivate).
At the same time, his tenure as a member of the editorial board of the journals Distance Education has ended in 2022 and will end in 2023 for Educational Technology: Research & Development (ETR&D).
